...Iranian Sufi-Muslim comedian (writer/performer) based in Los Angeles with roots in DC, Virginia, and a bunch of other sad little places. Rokhsane's written work can be found in Reductress and Mcsweeney's Internet Tendency. She performed for years with the sketch collective Boogiemanja, which has been featured in Time Out Magazine and the NY Times. She’s also performed and written characters and sketch for theaters all over New York, namely UCB, the People’s Improv Theatre, and the Magnet. She co-wrote, starred, and co-produced Muslim Girls DTF, which was apart of 2020's Yes, And Laughter Lab and won the best Independent Comedy Writing award as well as the Caz Matthews Award at Series Fest 2021. She most recently starred in the Bank Yank by director Nate Myers.
Rokhsane has a useless masters degree in Bioethics, and refuses to make an Asian joke about it - for a price. For money, she works for much more successful people at places like A Little Late with Lilly Singh, TED Talks, and Rutherford Falls.
